For our logistics team in Wondelgem we are looking for a transport officer. You will mainly be responsible for the coordination of all transport activities. You translate business needs into transport solutions and ensure optimal service to both internal and external customers. In addition, the Transport Officer is responsible for planning, executing and controlling transport assignments, as well as managing the required resources.
What is expected of you?
- You have a professional bachelor's or or master's degree in commerce, transportation and distribution or freight forwarding or similar through experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in transport planning.
- You have good organizational skills to successfully complete the various aspects of the job. You are administratively accurate and make every effort to avoid mistakes.
- You have good thinking skills to handle problems quickly and correctly.
- You have social skills because you have regular contact with transport companies, external drivers and different departments within the organization. We also require good language skills in order to deal with foreign-speaking drivers who come to deliver and pick up goods. Therefore we require knowledge of French, English and possibly German.
